The operational problem

Slow surveys delay quotes—and delayed quotes lose moves

Traditional surveys can require travel, manual item lists, separate volume calculations and repeated clarification. The estimator spends valuable time collecting information before they can apply their expertise.

Costly Onsite Surveys

Estimators spend time travelling to homes before the move has been qualified or won.

Inconsistent Inventories

Item descriptions and quantities vary between customers, surveyors and branches.

Manual Volume Calculations

Teams repeatedly estimate cubic volume from notes, spreadsheets, memory or separate tools.

Slow Quote Turnaround

Long survey and preparation cycles give faster competitors an opportunity to respond first.

Missed Access Risks

Stairs, parking, long carries, lifts and difficult access are not consistently captured early.

Disconnected Handoffs

Survey data must be copied into quoting, CRM, scheduling and move-management systems.

One connected workflow

Turn customer photos into an estimator-ready survey

AI assists with the repetitive capture and calculation work. Your estimator reviews the inventory, risks and assumptions before an estimate is shared.

Invite the Customer

Send a secure mobile survey link from the enquiry.

Capture Rooms

Collect photos, access details and move requirements.

Detect Inventory

AI assists with identifying and organising household items.

Calculate Volume

Build a structured inventory and estimated cubic volume.

Estimator Review

Confirm items, risks, assumptions, services and pricing.

Share & Book

Send the estimate and move approved data into operations.

How Isoft helps

Automate the survey without removing estimator judgement

The goal is not to let AI produce an unchecked moving quote. It is to give experienced estimators better, more consistent information much sooner.

  • Remote mobile surveys: customers capture rooms, items, access conditions and service requirements using their phone.
  • AI-assisted inventory: organise detected items into a structured survey for review instead of starting from a blank list.
  • Automated volume calculations: calculate and adjust estimated cubic metres as the inventory is reviewed.
  • Estimator workspace: review confidence, edit inventory, record risks and approve the estimate before sharing.
  • Connected move workflow: integrate customer, survey and estimate data with CRM, booking, operations and finance.

A practical delivery model

Start with a controlled quoting workflow

Begin with one team, service type or branch, validate accuracy and estimator adoption, then connect the wider move lifecycle.

01

Review the Current Survey

Measure travel, capture, calculation, review and quote preparation time.

02

Configure the Workflow

Set inventory, volume, access, service and estimator-review requirements.

03

Pilot With Real Moves

Compare digital results with real estimator decisions and completed jobs.

04

Connect & Improve

Integrate approved data and refine the workflow using operating evidence.

Frequently asked questions

Questions moving companies usually ask

Does AI send the final quote automatically?

Not unless you deliberately choose that operating model. We recommend that AI assists with inventory and calculation while an experienced estimator reviews the move, access risks, services, assumptions and final price.

Does the customer need to install an app?

The survey can be delivered through a mobile-friendly web experience, allowing the customer to follow a secure link without installing a separate application.

Can the inventory and volume be corrected?

Yes. The estimator can review, add, remove or amend detected items and adjust the inventory before approving the estimate.

Can it identify access and operational risks?

The workflow can capture stairs, lifts, parking distance, long carries, restricted access and other questions relevant to planning. AI may assist, but important risks should still be reviewed.

Can it connect with our CRM or move-management system?

Often yes. We assess the APIs or import options available and design the integration so approved customer, survey and estimate data does not need to be entered again.

Can we start with a small pilot?

Yes. A controlled pilot is the best way to validate customer completion, inventory accuracy, estimator time saved and the effect on quote turnaround before wider rollout.

How much estimator time is each moving quote consuming?

Book a moving workflow review to examine survey time, onsite travel, volume calculation, quote turnaround and the hand-off into operations.
