Flexible Booking Options
Structured booking journeys for one-way, return, hourly and multi-day passenger transport.
Isoft developed an operational platform that connected customer bookings, service-class pricing, administration and trip allocation for a New Zealand passenger transport provider.
The provider offered airport transfers, one-way and return journeys, hourly bookings and multi-day transport. Each booking depended on pickup details, passenger and baggage capacity, service class, distance, duration, availability and pricing rules.
The operational team also needed to coordinate customer bookings, business partners, vehicles and drivers after the customer completed the booking journey.
The challenge was to connect the customer experience with the operational work required to price, confirm, allocate and deliver each trip.
Isoft translated the booking rules and operational requirements into a purpose-built digital workflow spanning customer booking, price calculation, administration and trip delivery.

The administration workflow was designed to help authorised users manage the operational information behind each customer booking rather than leaving the team to reconcile forms, emails, calendars and spreadsheets.
Role-based access also allowed operational responsibilities to be separated while protecting commercially sensitive information.
The solution created a central operational route for progressing bookings from customer enquiry through pricing, confirmation, administration and trip allocation, with clearer visibility across customers, journeys, vehicles and service partners.
This case study has been anonymised. It describes functionality delivered by Isoft during the engagement; client-identifying and commercially sensitive information has been removed. No unverified financial or time-saving figure has been assigned.
The solution considered what happens after a customer submits a booking—not only the public form.
Operational pricing and capacity rules were incorporated into the booking journey to improve consistency.
Administrators and operational users could work with the information appropriate to their responsibilities.
